Campfire Banana Boats Kids Love, with Chocolate, Peanut Butter and Graham Crunch
Slit a banana lengthwise through the peel, stuff it with chocolate chips, peanut butter chips and mini marshmallows, and wrap it in foil. Set the packets on a grate over medium coals (or on a camp stove under a lid) for 8 to 10 minutes, until the chocolate is melted and the banana is soft. Open carefully, sprinkle with graham crumbs and eat with a spoon. Total time is about 20 minutes.
Banana boats are the camp dessert kids can mostly build themselves. Slit, stuff, wrap, wait. Everyone gets to pick their own toppings, and the peel acts as the bowl.
This version adds peanut butter chips and a sprinkle of graham crumbs at the end, so you get the s'mores flavor with a bit of crunch. There's no cooler, no pan and almost no cleanup. Just a spoon each.
