One-Burner Skillet S’mores Dip with Peanut Butter and Sea Salt

Jump to recipe
Quick answer

Melt butter in a 10-inch cast-iron skillet over a medium-low camp stove flame, then layer on chocolate chips, spoonfuls of peanut butter and mini marshmallows. Cover and heat 5 to 6 minutes until the chocolate is melted and the marshmallows puff. Uncover, toast the top 1 to 2 minutes, sprinkle with salt and dip graham crackers. Total time is about 15 minutes.

This is the s'mores you make when the fire is out, the wind is up or everyone is too tired to hold a stick. One skillet, one burner and five ingredients get you a pan of melted chocolate under a toasted marshmallow lid.

The peanut butter layer is what gets people asking for the recipe. It turns the chocolate into something closer to a warm fudge, and a pinch of flaky salt on top keeps it from being too sweet. Set it in the middle of the picnic table and let everyone dip.
